The fire brigade has released six people who were trapped in two vehicles after the serious accident this evening
A number of people were taken to hospital after their illness locked in vehicles after a crash. Emergency services were called to the A56 Chester Road, in Daresbury, at around 6.15pm on Sunday (November 10) following a crash involving two vehicles.
Cheshire Police closed the A56 Chester Road in both directions from the B5356 Keckwick Lane, Daresbury, to Hobb Lane, Higher Waltonat the intersection of Runcorn Road while emergency services dealt with the crash.
The Daresbury Expressway is also closed at the Chester Intersection after the incident. Motorists were urged to avoid the area and find an alternative route. Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service Crews released six victims trapped in two vehicles and were taken to hospital.

A spokesperson for Warrington Police shared an update on Facebook saying: “The A56 Chester Road in Walton is currently closed at the junction with Runcorn Road while police and emergency services respond to an ongoing incident.
“The Daresbury Expressway is also currently closed at the Chester Road junction. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and find an alternative route – thank you for your cooperation this evening.”
